marys day

On Friday, May 26, we celebrated Mary’s Day with Father Jason at Saint Peter Cathedral. Each class had a student nominated to be the class “Mary” for the day. These students were someone who exemplified goodness, obedience, trustworthiness, faithfulness, patience, and perseverance throughout the 2022-2023 school year.

Kindergarten - Lily Kerns

First Grade - Catalina Barnes

Second Grade -  Shaniah Neal

Third Grade - Caddy Morgan

Fourth Grade - Emajin Casto

Fifth Grade - Angie Urbieta

Sixth Grade - Makenzi Gorniak

Seventh Grade - Anasia Tarver

Eighth Grade - Mileidy Garnica-Navarrete

After Mass ended, Father Jason spoke of the relics of Blessed Carlo Acutis and Saint Manuel that sat at the front of mass and each student received a card to touch the reliquaries with. These two relics are making stops throughout the country in recognition of the multi-year Eucharistic Revival that is taking place. This was a truly special gift to have these relics in our presence.

Once we returned to MTA, Mrs. Nick and Mrs. Bernardini had some fun activities prepared for all grades to enjoy throughout the day, including Mary color sheets, prayer bubbles, a mason jar craft, a rosary craft and movies.

We want to say a very special thank you to Mr. Ladouceur and Mrs. Nick for all of the hard work that went into pulling this together, Mrs. Jauss for the beautiful music you led our choir in, Miss. Nordlund for capturing the day, Father Jason for celebrating Mass with us, and all of the teachers at MTA. Thank you for all you do for our students! 🕊
