To close out their geometry unit, seventh grade learned about circles! Students took a few notes on paper plates. They then blew bubbles catching the circular residue on paper to then measure the diameter and calculate the circumference and area of each circle. #MTA #MathFun 🫧

Last Friday, we also celebrated the graduation of our kindergarteners! Students received a special award and gifts from Mrs. Szewczykowski and celebrated their memorable first year at Mother Teresa Academy with their families! We are so proud of them and cannot wait to see what they accomplish during their time as Saints! #MTA #KindergartenGraduation 🎓

We held our Baccalaureate Mass last Friday in Saint Peter Cathedral. We are incredibly proud of all that the Class of 2026 has accomplished at Mother Teresa Academy and are looking forward to watching them excel the next four years in high school and beyond! #MTA #Family

Our eighth graders recently met with Chris and Jennie Hagerty to share highlights from their sponsored trip to Washington, D.C. Students enjoyed sharing lunch and discussing their experiences during their visit to the nation’s capital. As a gesture of gratitude, they presented Mr. and Mrs. Haggerty with a hoodie worn by students during their trip. Chris and Jennie shared a heartfelt message inspiring students to always give back to others and their mission to give back. Students also welcomed Congressman Mike Kelly to the school, who graciously sponsored their tour of the United States Capitol while in D.C. #MTA #Community

The “S.A.I.N.T. of the Month” program is a way to acknowledge and celebrate individual achievement. It helps create a school culture that values academic success, as well as elevates awareness of student contributions to the learning environment. Today and every day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, as well as those who continue to serve with courage and dedication. Their selflessness and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Thank you. #MTA #MemorialDay

Middle school girls celebrated the conclusion of the Nurturing Hearts program with pizza and cupcakes. This program is designed to help girls think more positively about themselves and recognize their unique strengths, gifts, and talents. The girls created and presented posters. A huge thank you to Ms. Shawnta’ and Ms. Taya! #MTA #NurturingHearts 💕

Last Friday, students in grades 3-8 also had the opportunity to go to Asbury Woods. They walked the trails and Mr. Cox grilled hot dogs for lunch. It was a great day! #MTA 🛝🌳🌭

Last Thursday was an unforgettable night where art gallery vibes met live tunes on stage! Arts Night, a night dedicated to celebrating MTA's performing and visual arts, showcased stunning student artwork, powerhouse MTA choirs, incredible vocal & piano solos, and an electrifying percussion ensemble!
First and Second Grade Chorus sang several classics from “The Sound of Music.” The Singing Saints performed a medley of Lin-Manuel Miranda music, while the Seventh Grade Piano Selections also crushed it on stage. The Eighth Grade Percussion Ensemble rocked their rendition of “Teacher’s Pet” from the movie School of Rock, while Third and Fourth Grade Chorale closed the night with some renditions of songs from “Annie.”
The night was also an amazing way to showcase our kids work and have our last art show in the building! All students had at one to three pieces in the show, and it could never have happened without the help of our aftercare students who helped set up and Mrs. Rodgers sixth grade students who helped with hanging, cleaning, and labeling work.
We would like to thank everyone who joined us for what was a truly incredible night! #MTA #ArtsNight 🎨🎶🥁✨
