We are back! The “S.A.I.N.T. of the Month” program is a way to acknowledge and celebrate individual achievement. It helps create a school culture that values academic success, as well as elevates awareness of student contributions to the learning environment. We are very proud of the students chosen for the month of September! #MTA #Family 🔵🟠⚪

Kindergarten has been busy learning all about apples! On Friday, they invited their fourth grade buddies to help them measure, taste, and describe apples. They even counted how many seeds their apple had using a ten frame! It's hard to tell who had more fun: kindergarten or fourth grade! #MTA #Family 🍎🍏

Our music program is growing, and we are excited to launch an MTA Instrument Drive to help provide more opportunities for our students!

If you have a lightly used musical instrument or music accessory that is sitting at home and no longer being played, please consider donating it to our music program. What may be unused in your home could become an exciting new opportunity for an MTA student!

What We’re Collecting:

• Band & Orchestra: Woodwinds, brass, bowed strings, percussion
• Folk Instruments: Acoustic guitars, ukuleles, banjos, mandolins
• Electronic Keyboards: Fully working electronic keyboards only
• Accessories & Supplies: Cases, stands, tuners, rosin, strings, picks, and more

*Please note: We are not accepting acoustic (wooden) pianos*

Drop-offs can be made in the Main Office during our open hours between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Thank you for considering supporting our students and helping us continue to build a music program that inspires the next generation of musicians — one instrument at a time! Please direct any questions to Jennifer Jauss at jennifer.jauss@mtasaints.com. #MTA #MusicEducation

Mother Teresa Academy has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Art Education Association (PAEA) Outstanding Visual Arts Community for 2025–2026!

This honor reflects our commitment to providing students with a strong, high-quality visual arts education. We are so thankful for our art instructor, Mrs. Rodgers, for fostering creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and self-expression, helping our students develop skills that support success both in and beyond the classroom.

We couldn’t be prouder of our students and Mrs. Rodgers for this tremendous achievement. Great work, Saints! #MTA #OutstandingVisualArtsCommunity 🎨

What a special day at MTA! Today, our school community came together to celebrate our first Mass of the school year, our first Mass in our new building, and the feast day of Mother Teresa, which we will celebrate tomorrow, September 5.

In honor of Mother Teresa and her beautiful example of selfless service, we reflected on one of her most beloved quotes:

“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

Inspired by these words, each homeroom chose a small act of service to complete next week, embracing Mother Teresa’s call to serve others with love and compassion. One student from each grade shared their class’s chosen act of service and placed a rose before Mother Teresa as a symbol of their commitment to live out her example.

Fr. Ben shared a beautiful homily about Mother Teresa, inviting our students to reflect on the qualities that made her such a remarkable example of faith, love, and service.
We are so grateful to be back together as one MTA family, celebrating the Eucharist and beginning this new school year in our beautiful new home. What a blessing to gather, pray, and serve together! #MTA #Faith ✝️🕊️

Yesterday, Fr. Ben and Ms. Carlson spent some time with kindergarten this afternoon showing them around Blessed Sacrament Church. They walked through what Mass looks like and answered their questions. A huge thank you to Fr. Ben and Ms. Carlson for helping them get ready for their first Mass at MTA. They had a blast! #MTA #Faith ✝️

Third and fourth grade took some time to enjoy the sun during their first days of school! They played math review games, did team-building activities, and learned about milkweed while looking at their monarch butterfly caterpillars. #MTA #Family 🐛

To close out their geometry unit, seventh grade learned about circles! Students took a few notes on paper plates. They then blew bubbles catching the circular residue on paper to then measure the diameter and calculate the circumference and area of each circle. #MTA #MathFun 🫧

Middle school students took advantage of the sunshine and enjoyed a field trip at the beach yesterday. Students enjoyed playing in the sand, throwing the football, and playing beach volleyball! #MTA 🏐⛱🏈🌞

Every year, fourth grade gets to celebrate the end of the school year with Fort Day! Students work together and construct forts, watch movies, eat lots of yummy food, and have fun with their friends. This tradition is something that fourth grade looks forward to every year! #MTA #FortDay 🏠

Third and fourth grade enjoyed a trip to Shades Beach on Friday! They had the chance to have a picnic at the park, search for beach glass, play in the waves, build sandcastles, eat popsicles, and so much more! It was an amazing way to celebrate the end of the school year! #MTA 🏖️🌞

Last Friday, we also celebrated the graduation of our kindergarteners! Students received a special award and gifts from Mrs. Szewczykowski and celebrated their memorable first year at Mother Teresa Academy with their families! They also joined Mrs. Jauss and sang a few songs to their families. We are so proud of them and cannot wait to see what they accomplish during their time as Saints! #MTA #KindergartenGraduation 🎓
